The Possum Palace on Possum Palace Drive is owned by the Town of Wausau and is home to the Wausau Possum Festival every summer.
It has been there for neighbors in hard times, too. The Town’s funding request to the Florida Senate says the Palace was the staging area for the Florida National Guard’s supply distribution after Hurricane Michael, and that it serves as a distribution site for the summer food program and USDA food distribution.
